I love to bring a large selection of my quilts with me to show and discuss as pictures just never seem to do quilts justice. If I live within driving distance you will be blessed with a multitude of quilts to enjoy. Unfortunately due to the current luggage restrictions, if I am flying to visit you I may be limited in the number I can bring with me - or we'll need to discuss alternate arrangements for shipping ahead.
1. “Maple Leaf Quilts” trunk show with discussion on the nine techniques featured in the book and how it was determined which technique to use for each quilt.
2. “My Quilting Journey” trunk show including art quilts. Discussion on how I went from traditional quilting to making art quilts – which is a continuing journey.
3. "Borders, Sashings and More" trunk show with discussion on how to add interest to your blocks by your choice of borders and sashings. Come prepared to take home some ideas for your next quilt or bring finished blocks to discuss alternate sashing/border ideas.
Please contact me for my price list.
The following are my current classes. If you have any questions about my classes or would like to contact me to teach at your guild or show, please contact me. If you see a quilt on this site, or in my book, that isn't currently listed as a class and you would like to offer it, please let me know as I would be happy to teach any of the quilts/techniques that I show.

Autumn Paths is an all day class and teaches the following techniques: Color Theory, How to sew Braids, Partial Seaming, and Flat Fold Piping. This project can be done in a wide variety of color schemes - so pick your favorite focus fabric and have fun. It can be done in a half-day class if all the cutting is done prior to class.
Bold Color Leaves
This class is for everyone who has always wanted to try paper piecing but thought it would be too hard. The easy paper-pieced pattern provides accurate points for this great Maple Leaf block. We will walk through each step until you feel comfortable with paper piecing. You can make this project as big or small you as want (potholder to king) depending on how much fun you have.
3 hour class
"Art Quilting with Training Wheels"
Wall-hanging is 12.5" x 19.5". The class focuses on choosing color combinations and easy sewing techniques to make this project. Fun for all quilters and can mostly be completed in the One-Day Class.
Fall Maple Leaf
In this full-day class we will explore a number of techniques to enhance this simple leaf design. You can bring your own leaf pattern or use one of mine. Techniques include satin stitching, herky jerky quilting, foiling, beading, and making the unique copper hangers. The Fall Maple Leaf Pattern is available for $9.00 and Fall Maple Leaf Kits are available for $50.00 and include everything you need except quilting thread.
This workshop focuses on using freezer paper templates to sew straight seams that have very little matching. It can be done with either my "Fractured Leaves" pattern or "Double Trouble" pattern.
This workshop focuses on learning machine applique. I use the "Red Swirls" pattern which is made out of silk, so you also learn to work with that fabulous fabric, as well as how to do dangle beading. Kits of silk are available for purchase.
To reproduce this gorgeous quilt it takes one 2 1/2” strip of 132 different leaf fabrics. Bring extra strips of your favorite leaf fabrics and trade with your classmates to get different colors. An easy point technique will be taught and we will discuss how to determine color groupings.
Works best as an all-day class but the basics can be covered in a half day class.
Techniques for Points
If you’ve always wanted to try various methods of making triangles squares then this is the class for you. Learn nine different techniques for making points and use your samples to make a great Maple Leaf Table Runner. Discussion on how to change a pattern to use your favorite method will be included. If you have a pattern you want evaluated, please bring it along.
This class works best as a 2-day workshop, but it can be done in a full-day class.
This project can almost be completed in a full-day class. Techniques include, Color and Contrast, Partial Seaming, Large Stitch Embroidery, and how to bead a "treasure" into each section. It is finished using a Facing Technique instead of binding. Pick out some wonderful hand-dyed fabrics or batiks and enjoy making this with me.
